A little about me...
I live in south central Montana. Home base is Joliet, a small farming town about
40 miles southwest of Billings with gorgeous views of the Beartooth, Absoroka and Pryor mountain
ranges. At just 100 miles to Yellowstone Park, I am truly blessed to live in one of the most beautiful
locations in the United States.
I was raised and educated in the Kansas City area. I married a Montana native and for years made
vacation trips here. I dreamed of one day moving to this gorgeous state. My first career was with
a large corporation in the Kansas City area. In late 2008, I left that career behind. While my former
company was very good to me, I felt it was time for a change. That change led me to Montana and
to a new career in photography and art.
In 2009, I attended Rocky Mountain School of Photography's Summer Intensive program in Missoula, Montana. Since then,
I have attended workshops on wedding photography, documentary photography and lighting.
My photographs have been on display at the Sprint Corporate Headquarters (Overland Park, Kansas) in 2007, at the First National Bank
(Olathe, Kansas) in 2008 and at the Joliet (Montana) Community Center in 2011 and 2015. My artwork is also on display at the Carbon
County Arts Guild in Red Lodge, Montana where I am a member artist.
In 2010, I was photographer for Camp Quality Kansas, an organization that provides a summer camp experience for children coping with cancer.
In 2011, I was photographer for the Beartooth Billings Clinic's fundraiser "The Grease Ball".
In June, 2012 I was the event photographer for the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary's Founder's Day celebration.
In June, 2012 I was the event photographer for the 2012 Beartooth Billings Clinic's fundraiser "Woodstock".
In June, 2015, I was the event photographer for the 2015 Beartooth Billings Clinic's fundraiser "A Night in Paris".
In April 2016, I will be the event photographer for the 2016 Beartooth Billings Clinic's fundraiser "Super Heroes".
In 2017, I was chosen to participate in Sage Art Gallery's 3rd annual photography show and in the Carbon County Arts Guild's
silent auction during their Art in the Beartooth fundraiser in Red Lodge, Montana.
In 2018, I was one of two event photographers for the Beartooth Billings Clinic's fundraiser.
I believe in sharing my talent with my community. Whenever possible, I work with local organizations needing photographs
for their events.
I am a member of the Billings Arts Association and the Carbon County Arts Guild.
